Farmer's Daughter Application Deadline
July 2, 2010 by 4:00PM
** POSTMARKS NOT ACCEPTED**

The Southern California Fair is excited to announce the 2010 Farmer’s Daughters Scholarship Program a longstanding community tradition. This program is available to girls residing in Riverside County ages 16-19 as of October 1st 2010. Our goal is to reward the selected ambassadors with educational scholarships in exchange for their marketing and promotion of the Southern California Fair  within the community.

You do not have to be an actual daughter of a farmer to participate in this rewarding program. Any girl who is an active participant in their community ready to have fun while earning scholarship money qualifies. In the months leading up to the Fair, the finalists (with Fair chaperone) will participate in a number of  great outings serving as representatives of the Fair where they will meet new people, speak and make presentations on behalf of the fair and have the oportunity to invite the community to participate in preserving and raising agricultural awareness. Public events may include parades, charity functions, civic events and festivals.

During fairtime, October 9-17, the girls will compete in fun daily contests, past examples inlude: sewing, goat milking, tractor driving, and mystery contests just to make it really interesting! The girls earn points for their application, interview, participation in promotional activities, and fair-time contests. The girl with the highest score will be crowned “Farmer’s Daughter 2010” on the final Saturday of Fair. Each finalist may receive a scholarship ranging from $500.00-$1500.00.

Help us locate outgoing girls aged 16-19 living in Riverside County, who would like to earn scholarship money for their advanced education while having fun, making lifelong friends, enjoying the food, entertainment and excitement everyday of the Fair.

If you have any questions regarding this or any other scholarship opportunities with the Southern California Fair, please feel free to call our Fair office and speak with Sherrie Kadella at 951-657-4221 or email (click here)Exhibits@Socalfair.com
